Many thoughts, many theories, many critics, many agreements
on catching up McLuhan, understanding media...
but where is the "I"?
I as a Korean living in a western country...
Media understanding from my culture, root?
to be continued...
Points I've taken from Mcluhan:
"On the telephone, you have no physical body."
"Intruding, without permission....Telephone, as an extension of human being."
Hidden ground - "The medium is hidden, the message is obvious."
"New media, old function."
"The sender just send, you lose your identity, you are nobody."
Marshall Mcluhan says 'Content and the message doesn't matter at all'
if war, conflict and natural disaster are used to keep the masses quite through a state of helplessness as was suggested
then how can content not be important
as its is the message that determines our feeling of helplessness
